Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is the national flag carrier for Malaysia and is a member of the OneWorld Airline Alliance. Malaysia Airlines own two subsidiary airlines, Firefly and MASwings. MASwings operates throughout Borneo and commonly use the Boeing ATR-7 for short haul flights.

Flights from Kota Kinabalu to/from Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei) will be operated by Royal Brunei Airlines. This is the National flag carrier airlines of Brunei Darussalam, wholly owned by the Government of Brunei.
